Prevent knee pain and injury with some simple steps

Meet Our Providers

At Green Mountain Orthopaedic Surgery in Berlin, Vermont, our physicians are board certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. In addition, each is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine, Hand Surgery or Orthopedic Trauma.

Our surgeons have hospital privileges locally at Central Vermont Medical Center, as well as, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In fact, our physicians have been teaching Dartmouth Orthopaedic Residents, so our practice brings the quality and caliber of university-based medicine to our community.

To ensure the best outcomes for you, our doctors receive annual certifications and continuous training that enable them to provide leading-edge treatments and perform advanced procedures. From advice to expert surgery, our doctors are among the most respected orthopaedic surgeons in Vermont.

What are GMOS doctors like?

Our surgeons are kind, caring, confident, quick witted and straight talking doctors. Dr. Bean, a native to Maine, and a biathlete, is fast paced and a true straight shooter. Dr. Meriam shows the patience you would expect from someone who grew up in a large family in Long Island. Their doctors are fun, honest, and most of all, care about their patients and their profession. They read and train continuously to make sure they are skilled in all the latest advances and techniques in orthopaedic surgery and treatments.

GMOS surgeons are physically active and energetic participating in many area sports: skiing, golfing, water skiing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, running and hunting. They are also active in community philanthropy, supporting several nonprofit organizations, which provide culture, health services, and youth support to our community.
